Burgers are a weeknight favorite at our house. They are so simple to make and are ready to eat in minutes. These Spicy Burgers are at the top of our list. The spiciness comes from red pepper flakes, hot sauce, and cajun seasoning. Now, these burgers are not burn-your-mouth-hot, they just have a nice kick to them. We loved them! Add some cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles and prepared to be wowed!
How to Make Spicy Burgers
These burgers are very easy to make. Gently mix together ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, BBQ sauce, chili powder, cumin, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, red pepper flakes, hot sauce, and some liquid smoke. Form the meat mixture into patties and cook.
Feel free to adjust the spicy seasonings to your personal preference. We thought the burgers had just the right amount of kick. If you are sensitive to heat, please reduce or omit the red pepper flakes and hot sauce.
You can make the burger patties ahead of time and refrigerate overnight or freeze them for later. This is also an easy recipe to double or triple for a crowd. Since there are only two of us for dinner, we have started cooking our burgers in a cast-iron grill pan. OMG! I love it! The burgers are ready to eat in under 10 minutes. Don’t worry, we still fire up the grill for burgers when we have a crowd over for dinner or tailgating.
What to Serve with Spicy Burgers

We usually serve the burgers with some french fries, potato salad, or pasta salad. Here are a few of our favorite recipes from the blog that go great with these homemade hamburgers:
