Meow Monday

We recently bought a new home. One of the top requirements for the new house was that it had to have a screened porch for the cats. When we told our friends that we bought a new house, the first thing they asked was if it had a screened porch for the cats. LOL! Everyone knows that we are crazy cat people. Hey, it is what it is!
All of our cats are indoor cats, but they LOVE going outside on the screened porch. We created the ultimate “jungle” for our 3 “tigers”!  We call it the Catnip Kingdom. We have three large pots full of catnip. The cats love to sit in the pots and grab a snack and then take a nap.

Jack, of course, is the king of Catnip Kingdom (and he knows it).

Fluffy is the Queen of Catnip Kindgom
and little Squeaky is the Princess
We wanted to make the screened porch a fun place for the cats to enjoy the day, watch the birds, play, or, in most cases, sleep. Who am I kidding, they always sleep out there.

They have great edible vegetation to hide and pounce, but of course need the proper nutrition to keep them healthy, happy, and active.

Why not buy cat food with a cause?

Rachael’s Rescue® was created for all of the forgotten pets – the ones who might not have someone who loves them as much as they deserve. A portion of proceeds from each sale of Nutrish is donated to The Rachael Ray Foundation, which helps animals in need through Rachael’s Rescue. Through December 2016, Rachael’s Rescue has donated more than $17.5 million dollars to pet charities and other organizations that do good for animals. The funds are used for food, medical supplies, treatments, and more for animals in need. Many more animals around the country need help, and through Rachael’s Rescue, together we can make a difference in the lives of many four-legged friends.

This is a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts. Fluffy and Squeaky were both strays that adopted us. They were outside on their own, skinny, scared and declawed. They didn’t have anyone to love and feed them until they found us. We are so thankful for our beautiful fur babies and are glad they are now safe and loved in our home.
