Brown Sugar and Bourbon Pork Tenderloin
(Printable Recipe)
¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
¼ cup minced green onions
¼ cup bourbon
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
¼ cup Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 pork tenderloin (or flank steak)
½ teaspoon cornstarch
To prepare pork, combine first 7 ingredients. Reserve ½ cup marinade. Pour remaining marinade in a large zip-top plastic bag; add pork. Seal and marinate in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight, turning bag occasionally. Remove pork from bag.
Grill 6 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut diagonally across grain into thin slices.
Combine reserved marinade and cornstarch in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
I have been dying to make this since I saw the recipe! We made it tonight with flank steak. So, so, sooooooo delicious! There wasn't any left. The only ones not happy were my poor puppies who had been drooling over it since we started cooking. I'm so glad I found your blog!
That pork is PERFECTLY cooked for my tastes and the sauce sounds like a true winner.
Liliana Grace – we use a charcoal grill. If I baked this in the oven I would bake it at 425. So, maybe grill it around that temperature? I've never used a gas grill.
Sounds awesome and I love it's versatility. One question? Do use a gas grill and if so what temp did you grill it? I guess that's two questions!
Steph! I cannot wait to make this! It sounds exactly like something I would love. MMMMM
Looks good! Ya'll have a great weekend.
Will be out of pocket next week.
Sounds great Steph and I like having another way to serve tenderloin .
