Chocolate Butterfinger Bites

Today for Football Friday I am sharing a tailgating/holiday recipe – Peanut Butter Butterfinger Balls. I have a serious weakness for anything with Butterfingers and peanut butter. Needless to say, I have zero self-control around these things! Peanut butter, powdered sugar, and crushed Butterfingers dipped in chocolate. OMG! YASSSS!!! They are basically kicked-up Buckeye Balls.

How to Make Peanut Butter Butterfinger Balls

These candy balls are very easy to make. Simply mix together powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, crushed Butterfinger candy bars, and crunchy peanut butter. Form the peanut butter mixture into balls. Dip the balls into melted chocolate candy coating. Place the chocolate balls on parchment paper to set up.

  • I used crunchy peanut butter in these balls. Feel free to use creamy if you don’t like chunks of peanuts.
  • You can make these Butterfinger Balls several days in advance and store them in an air-tight container until you are ready to serve them.
  • Decorate the balls with any color sprinkles – Christmas, valentines, birthday sprinkles, or your favorite team colors.
  • This recipe makes about 3 or 4 dozen, depending on how big you make the balls.
  • Store the candy in an air-tight container.
  • This candy can be easily frozen, stored in the refrigerator, or at room temperature if you’ll be eating them within a day or two.
  • The Butterfinger Balls will last about a month in an air-tight container stored in the refrigerator.

  1. So, this recipe has 2 and a half sticks of butter in addition to the peanut butter? Someone clarify please. That seems awfully greasy. I'd love to make them but that can be expensive.

    1. You can definitely freeze the undipped balls. I haven't frozen the dipped balls, so I can say for sure how they would be.

  2. Hi, I've searched for the Butterfinger bits. No longer available at Target, Walmart or Amazon. Where can you purchase them? Thanks!
