Pin This RecipeThese Glazed Pigs in a Blanket are incredible. I have a SERIOUS weakness for pigs in a blanket, and these Glazed Pigs in a Blanket are no different. Pigs in a blanket topped with my favorite brown sugar glaze and baked. I can’t believe I never thought to make them before. OMG! To-die-for!!!
I ate WAY too many of these yummy Glazed Pigs in a Blanket. These ended up being my lunch because I couldn’t stop eating them. They are delicious hot out of the oven or cooled to room temperature. Perfect party food.
This recipe makes 36 Glazed Pigs in a Blanket. I took these to our tailgate last week and they were gone in a flash. I mean, who can resist sweet and savory sausages wrapped in crescent rolls?!?!? I know I sure the heck can’t. I already have a request to bring these to our football party again this weekend. I can promise you these will be on my holiday party menus too! SO good!

These are so good! I absolutely loved them. My husband likes more traditional, so he didn’t care for them. I will be making a half traditional batch for him and this yummy goodness for me with the 2nd batch.
Can leftovers be frozen?
sure
Do you use the little smokies that are more sausagey? Or the ones that are like mini hot dogs?
I use these: https://www.target.com/p/hillshire-farm-lit-39-l-smokies-smoked-sausage-14oz/-/A-14856530#lnk=sametab
Tried these this weekend for a pumpkin carving party, they were a hit, will definitely be making these again
Okay so I’ve made these for my D&D party twice in a row. But I do have a problem with burning the bottoms. Still tasted good and everyone else loved them. Does anybody have any tips to prevent that?
try cooking them on a higher rack in your oven
Try turning the oven down 25 degrees from what the recipe calls for. I do this all the time it really works.
Do you have to watch them closely I made a different recipe a year ago and they burnt on the bottom. So I couldn’t use for Easter. So wondering if I have to watch them or will they be fine for 25-30 minutes in oven. Side note these look so yummy
I’ve never had any issues with them burning
Made these for Super Bowl Sunday, and really liked them. Any idea of the best way to re-heat if you don’t have a big crowd and there are some left over? Microwave really softens the blanket dough, so wondering if they would re-heat better in the oven? Thanks for the yummy recipe!
Try covering the pan with aluminum foil and baking them at 350ºF until warm.
We make our pig in a blankets with cheese. Has anyone tried this recipe with cheese? Just wondering if the flavors go good with the brown sugar glaze or nix the cheese? The glaze sounds delicious! Thanks!
I made these for a family gathering at Christmas. They were great! Everyone loved them and wanted the recipe. Thanks
SO glad they were a hit!
Can I make these in a toaster oven? Unfortunately my oven is not working and waiting for part. Do you think toaster oven wpuld work—and what adjustments should I make?
Love them!!!!!!! The ultimate pig in the blanket!!
This is an absolute favorite recipe! I’ve made them numerous times. Everyone loves them !!!
What happens if you only have regular mustard
Nothing – the mustard just adds flavor
Can you use regular mustard
Sure
Excellent! Soooo yummy and easy! I used parchment paper on cooking sheet…
.much easier to remove!
Fantastic as always!!
are they good cold or do they have to be hot
They taste good hot or cooled to room temperature.
Can these be prepared the day before, and cooked the morning of…? or just cook the day before and have it at room temp when serving…??
I’d like the answer to the above question.
Can you prepare these the day before and up to what point may you do this?
Yes, I have made them the day before, covered them with foil and put in the fridge. I took them out of the fridge for about an hour and then cooked them as stated in her recipe.
Does the 1/4 cup of mustard and the tbsp both go into the glaze?
No the 1/4 Cup is for spreading on the dough
These are delicious! They came together quickly, created like 2 dishes (one was the pan they were cooked in), and my husband liked them. I love your recipes. So glad I found your site.
Do you take these out of the pan to serve them or just serve them from the pan? Wasn’t sure if they would get soggy.
you can serve them however you prefer
Do you think these would stay warm and not get soggy in a crockpot? I would like to make them for a wedding shower.
I've never tried keeping them warm in the crockpot.
I have kept them warm on a griddle on low.
The pizza cutter is a neat idea — I've found that the dough is easiest to work with when it's chilled, so I tend to leave it refrigerated until I'm ready to work with it. These sound really good!
Cutting those crescent rolls in thirds was really a challenge. Mine are ready to go in the oven for a trial run. Fingers crossed.
Really? I’ve never had an issue cutting the triangles into three.
Use a rolling pizza cutter instead of a knife… makes it a lot easier!
Any idea if you can get them ready and then refrigerate until time to cook? These could be a quick dinner night if so!
Okay these are the ULTIMATE pigs in a blanket. Wish I had a batch of these right now and it’s 8:30 in the morning! These are on all my party menus from now on!
You & me both! These are so good! Enjoy!
Do you have to use poppyseeds?
no
I have made these twice now and once I used regular lit’l smokies and the second time cheddar lit’l smokies. Both were so good. Thanks for the recipe!!
Sounds delicious! I think I will make these for our family camping trip next weekend! Perfect around the campfire snacks!
Looks 😋..I might try mine with everything bagel spices..marie from 🇨🇦
