Meow Monday
This is not the update I was expecting to give today. Nacho Man Kitty Savage passed away last week.
Nacho Man had a condition called Pyothorax. It is basically where one lung and the cavity outside the lung fills with fluid. It is not a common condition. Our local vet had never seen a case of it.
We did everything possible to help Nacho Man fight off the infection. In the end, his little heart couldn’t take it.
He passed away in Auburn when they were prepping him for his surgery. The vet and vet tech were shocked. They said he was feisty and flirting with all the ladies before surgery. They couldn’t believe that he died. They gave him CPR, but he was gone.
Chicken Legs saw him after he passed away and said everyone in the vet office was stunned and upset. The vet tech was crying with him.????
Nacho Man Kitty Savage was only with us for about a year, but we are absolutely heartbroken over his passing. He was the sweetest kitty I’ve ever had. He was so loving. Always slow blinking at me. He LOVED being on the screened deck watching the birds, making biscuits on his blanket and drooling, sleeping. and playing with Jack.
We can’t believe that he is gone. The house is empty without him.
Hugs to you and your family and all who loved Nacho Man. I totally understand the depth of your loss, as my cat died as I was getting her into out truck to take her to the vet. Was prepared that she may not return, but I was not prepared that we never even got out of the driveway before she died. We had her for 14 years, from a tiny kitten that had been born feral. I don't know if it will help or not, but I can truthfully report we have seen and felt her coming back to visit. Your Nacho will do the same, I am sure.
So very sorry about Nacho man. I loved reading about his antics every week. He was a blessed kitty to have y'all taking care of him.
As everyone else has said, I am so sorry to hear that your kitty died. Losing a pet is heartbreaking. We lost our beloved dogs a couple of years ago and I still cry when I think of them. Will be praying that you will have some consolation in remembering him and all the love you gave him.

Miss Stephanie, I am broken hearted for you. I have 4 fur babies myself and I don't know what I'd do if something happened to one of them. We have one who is special needs, as she is blind. But, she acts like any other cat and loves to play! I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I sure do love your posts and recipes! My favorite is Meow Monday, as I look forward to your pics. They put a smile on my face. Nacho Man will surely be missed.

Steph, I am so sorry. It’s been almost 7 years exactly since I lost my Simon to the same condition. It was a long time before I could read your Meow Monday updates after I lost him, it was too raw. I know Nacho Man was living his best life with you, and had immeasurable love. Thank you for sharing him with us. I grieve along with you.
