We recently got back from an AMAZING trip to Destin, FL. We haven’t been to Destin in well over a year. We were well overdue for a relaxing beach trip! We stayed at the Hilton Sandestin. It is a great location – right on the beach. You can’t beat it! We spent three nights just relaxing and eating our way around the area. We hit up some of our favorite places and ate at several great new places.
We are going back down to Destin at the end of the month. What are your favorite places to eat in the Destin area? We need some new places to check out!
Leave me a comment with your favorite places to eat in Destin!
Thank you so much for this post!! I am going for the first time to the beach in June, hoping my man pops the question 🙂 We are excited to try some of these places!!!
Callahans in Destin has been a favorite of locals for years! We used to go there even when they were in their old building. Everything there is amazing…but the steaks and their pasta dishes??? Totally amazing. Yes, Dewey Destin’s you reviewed is great, and try Pompano Joe’s. Great sunset views and awesome grouper and other local seafood. The Donut Hole for breakfast lovers is epic. No doubt that Destin is chock full of flavorful dining destinations apart from awesome beaches and great shopping. Yum-ohhh….😉
We LOVE Dewey Destin! Even when we don't go there, we go pick up their gumbo! Enjoyed this post -gives us some new ideas! Another Broken Egg for breakfast and Seagrove Market in Seagrove are my other favorites!
The Donut Hole is great and there are several locations. McGuire’s Irish Pub is so fun! We eat there every time we go. Great steak and the Irish potatoes. OMG.
Louisiana Lagniappe…awesome food and view of the docks. Great to see the sunset there and the filet mignon is excellent. We are from Louisiana and their food holds up to our standard.
We like Crackings, Another Broken Egg, The Donut Hole & The Pancakery for breakfasts. For lunch/dinner on beach, The Whale’s Tail. A new place we tried last month was The Village Door Music Hall. Goatfeathers near SantaRosa/30a pretty good too for local seafood. I’m probably forgetting others I’ve reviewed on Trip Advisor. -John (@JohnKinATL)
Oh my goodness! I have never been to this area and have heard great things! The food in your post looks absolutely amazing and delicious and would love to plan a family trip soon. Sounds like alot of fun!
Vintij restaurant in grand boulevard is my absolute favorite. They have the best lunch specials in town and a great variety if wine on tap and bottled. The owners are fantastic locals. At lunch you can get half pasta or half salad specials. They are more than enough for lunch or dinner and always feature fresh seafood, pork, chicken or steak. The BEST kept secret (not anymore). They have killer quiche for Sunday brunch with the best lemon caper butter sauce – so God I want to drink it! Enjoy!
you should try the red onion
