Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. Here is a fun twist on chocolate chip cookies – Strawberry Chocolate Chip Cookies. Cookies loaded with chocolate chips, strawberry extract, and freeze dried strawberries. YUM! They are super easy to make with a package of sugar cookie mix and taste delicious. The cookies only take a minute to whip up and smell amazing while they were baking. These didn’t last long at our house!
How to Make Strawberry Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies are super simple to make. Mix together sugar cookie mix, butter, egg, strawberry extract, and pink food coloring. Stir in mini chocolate chips and crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake.
- I used Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix.
- I bought the freeze-dried strawberries at Walmart.
- Can omit the pink food coloring if preferred.
- Feel free to swap the chocolate chips for white chocolate chips – YUM!
- The cookies will keep about 3 days in an air-tight container.
- Can Chocolate Chip Cookies be frozen? Yes! Bake the cookies and cool completely. Place the cookies in a freezer bag and freeze. The cookies will keep up to 3 months in the freezer.

Strawberry Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 (17.5-oz) pouch Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1½ tsp strawberry extract
- pink food coloring
- 1 large egg
- 1½ cups mini chocolate chips
- 1 (1-oz) package freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
Instructions:
- Heat oven to 375°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together cookie mix, butter, extract, food coloring, and egg until soft dough forms. Stir in mini chocolate chips and freeze-dried strawberries.
- Using a medium cookie scoop, drop dough 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Serve warm or cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
