White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies – seriously the BEST! The secret ingredient makes all the difference! Everyone raves about these cookies!!
I had some of the White Chocolate Candy Corn M&Ms in the house, and I wanted to bake something with them so I would stop eating them! (I got them at Wal-Mart – they might still have some) Chicken Legs suggested making White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies with them. Great idea!!
This recipe is different than most; it uses apple butter and cinnamon. It makes the cookies taste like Fall! These are the best White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies I’ve ever had. I took these cookies to the tailgate last weekend and didn’t have any leftover!
Yield: 3 dozen cookies
White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 (12-oz) package white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
1/4 cup apple butter
Preheat oven to 375º F.
Sift all dry ingredients together. Cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and combine well. Add other ingredients.
Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 11-13 minutes.
**I chill the dough for about 5-10 minutes before scooping and baking.**
