These Low-Carb Italian Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken tenders are a new favorite. OMG! Chicken seasoned with Italian seasoning, topped with cheese and wrapped in prosciutto. What’s not to like?!?!?! This chicken is super easy to make and tastes great! We’ve made these several times over the past few weeks and just can’t get enough of them. They are great on their own or on top of a salad. They taste great hot out of the oven, room temperature, and cold out of the fridge. I usually make a double batch so we can have leftovers during the week.
How to Make Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken
These chicken tenders are super easy to make. Start with seasoning the chicken tenders with some Italian seasoning on both sides. Next, top each chicken tender with a slice of mozzarella cheese. Finally, wrap the tenders with prosciutto and bake.
- I got my prosciutto from the deli at the grocery store. I had them slice it fresh for me. You can also buy pre-sliced prosciutto in the deli section. Either will do fine.
- If you are having trouble wrapping the prosciutto around the chicken, feel free to use a toothpick to make sure it stays in place. Just remember to take the toothpicks out before serving!
- I used mozzarella slices in this recipe. This is also equally delicious with provolone.
- Bake the chicken on a rimmed baking sheet topped with a baking rack. This will allow the prosciutto to get crispy on both sides.
- Can these chicken tenders be baked in the air fryer? Yes! Bake the chicken at 350ºF for about 15 minutes.
