Pin This RecipeThis dish is SO delicious. I’ve had this recipe bookmarked for years, but I never got around to making it. I am kicking myself for not trying this sooner. It is SOOOOO GOOD! The best part of this dish is that it is incredibly simple to make. It requires not marinating or prep. Just sprinkle the seasoning on the chicken, cook and add cream. It takes about 15 minutes total. You can’t beat that! I like to serve this over angel hair pasta, but it would also be good with mashed potatoes. Next time we are going to try a combination of half chicken and half andouille sausage. I can’t wait!

Chicken Lazone
Equipment:
Ingredients:
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ tsp chili powder
- 1½ tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 lb chicken tenders
- ¼ cup butter, divided
- 2 cups heavy cream
Instructions:
- Combine salt, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle over both sides of chicken tenders.
- In large saute pan, melt half of the butter over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken tenders until done, about 8 minutes.
- Pour the cream and remaining butter into the skillet. Lower heat and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Serve chicken and sauce over pasta or mashed potatoes, if desired.

Made this tonight. It was good. Added mushrooms,onions and some crushed red pepper flakes . I also broke up some lasagna noodles as that's all I had. 🙂

Are you in America? Because chili powder is all about the same here. It's not a certain chile powder, but a blend to season chili.

I didn't have heavy cream (I usually don't have it on hand and don't need it). I used skim milk. After the chicken was browned on both sides, I removed it from the pan, added 1T butter, 2T flour, stirred until smooth then added 2 cups of skim milk. Simmered until thickened, then added the chicken back to the pan. I also seasoned the sauce with a little salt and pepper.
I use evaporated milk instead of the cream ig its too thin I dissolve 1T of corn starch with 1T water, and that thickens it up fine. I used Italian Sausage instead of chicken the other night, that's the only way my fam wants it now.

I love this and make it alot. Used shrimp instead of chicken a couple of weeks ago. YUM
YUM! I made this tonight and we loved it! I only had 10 chicken tenders but didn't think it was 2 pounds worth so I adjusted the seasonings a little and only used 1 cup heavy cream. Mmm, especially over mashed potatoes! Will definitely be making again. May even try making it with shrimp next time.
I didn't have any of the heavy cream but I have sour cream. Hope it tastes as good.
