How to Make Pecan Pie with Grits

This pie is easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Bring a pot of water to a boil; slowly stir in grits; return to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until the grits are thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add sugar and corn syrup, and cook over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Whisk cooked grits into the butter mixture and cool slightly. Slowly whisk eggs and vanilla into the butter mixture until blended. Stir in pecan pieces and pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake in a preheated oven until set. Remove the pie from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into slices.
