Grits Pecan Pie – CRAZY good!!!! Pecan pie with grits mixed into the filling. Sounds weird, but this is THE BEST pecan pie EVER!! Everyone raves about this pie! The grits give the filling a good texture – kind of like an oatmeal cookie. Give this a try for your next holiday meal!
Pecan Pie is a MUST for all of our holiday meals. This year I am mixing it up with this Grits Pecan Pie. Yep! Grits mixed into the yummy pecan pie mixture. I know it sounds strange, but this pie was oh-so-good! Chicken Legs is already counting down the days until we get to eat this delicious pie again!!
The texture of this Grits Pecan Pie is totally different that your usual pecan pie. It has the texture more like an oatmeal cookie. YUM! This Grits Pecan Pie can be made a few days ahead of time and stored in an air-tight container until you are ready to serve.
I took a holiday shortcut and used a frozen deep-dish pie crust for this recipe, but feel free to make your own pie crust. I am not confident in my pie crust making skills, so I just usually buy a frozen pie crust or refrigerated pie crust.
This Grits Pecan Pie has replaced our usual pecan pie as our go-to recipe. We seriously can’t get enough of it. All you need is a big ol’ scoop of vanilla ice cream and you are set!!! Well, you might also need some stretchy pants. At least I need stretchy pants this time of year!! Happy eating!
