Cheddar Bacon Ranch Beer Bread

This Cracked Out Beer Bread is the best beer bread I’ve ever eaten! How could it not be? It is loaded with cheddar, bacon, and ranch! My favorite flavor combination! This recipe is so simple and tastes super delicious. You probably have all of the recipe ingredients in your pantry right now! The best part about this recipe is that there is no yeast. The beer acts as the leavening agent along with the baking powder. Easy Peasy! Give this a try tonight!

What does CRACK mean?

If a recipe has crack in the title it means that it has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the recipe. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck. The flavor combination is amazing. This asparagus is no exception.

How to Make Cracked Out Beer Bread

This bread is very easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add beer, shredded cheddar cheese, Ranch seasoning, cooked bacon, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until well blended.

Lightly spray a bread pan with cooking spray. Line with parchment paper, if desired. Spread batter into the loaf pan. Pour melted butter over the top of the bread. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the middle of the loaf comes out clean. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for at least 15 minutes before removing from the pan.

Helpful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions

  • I suggest using a light beer so it doesn’t overpower the flavors in the bread. Feel free to use any beer you like.
  • Does the bread taste like beer? I couldn’t taste the beer once the bread was cooked.
  • For best results, use room temperature beer.

  1. Looks great! I certainly do have all of these ingredients on hand and may make this tonight. You certainly know how to speak to my husband's heart with your recipes. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Would you tell me what size loaf pan to use? I have 6 bottles of beer that are too stout for my hubs taste, and this would be a good way to use them up. I want to buy aluminum loaf pans to give away. Also, do you think I could cheat by using Oscar Meyer cooked bacon crumbles in the sack, instead of frying my own? Thank you !!

  3. Looks yummy! Did you know you can buy a 16 oz jar of Ranch seasoning and salad dressing mix at Sams? No more packets around here 🙂
