How to Make Sticky Buns with Frozen Dough
These pecan sticky buns are effortless to make with only a few simple ingredients. Mix together unsalted butter and light brown sugar in a small bowl until smooth. Add honey, corn syrup, and vanilla and mix well. Pour the brown sugar mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Place the frozen cinnamon rolls on top of the pecans. Cover the pan and let rise in a warm place. Once the rolls are nice and puffy, bake them in a preheated oven on the middle rack until golden brown. Run a knife along the edge of the pan and invert onto a serving dish.

Are sticky buns identical to cinnamon rolls?
Both cinnamon rolls and sticky buns share the same dough and cinnamon sugar filling as their foundation. However, the key distinction lies in their baking process and toppings. Cinnamon rolls are baked and later adorned with a sweet white sugar glaze or cream cheese frosting. In contrast, sticky buns take a different path as they are baked immersed in a luscious brown sugar and pecan caramel sauce, resulting in their irresistible sticky texture and delightful sweetness.

i have looked at all local stores, no fz cinnamon roll dough to be found.
I put the prepared pan of rolls in the oven just before bedtime with the oven light on. It makes a nice cozy atmosphere for the rolls to rise. In the morning take them out. preheat the oven, and then put them back in to finish it off. Works great!
I can’t find frozen dough either. Will refrigerated cinnamon rolls work?
