These are my new favorite Black-Eyed Peas. The best part is that they are super easy! This starts with canned black-eyed peas and adds tons of great flavor from bacon and cajun seasoning. We both could have made a meal out of these peas. Just add some fried okra and cornbread and we would be happy, happy, happy!
If you want to reduce the sodium content in this dish, rinse the peas before adding them to the pot and use reduced sodium chicken broth. I almost always use reduced sodium chicken broth, and I don’t think you loose any flavor with it. Either way, these black-eyed peas will be delicious!
