Pin This RecipeThis dish is SO delicious. I’ve had this recipe bookmarked for years, but I never got around to making it. I am kicking myself for not trying this sooner. It is SOOOOO GOOD! The best part of this dish is that it is incredibly simple to make. It requires not marinating or prep. Just sprinkle the seasoning on the chicken, cook and add cream. It takes about 15 minutes total. You can’t beat that! I like to serve this over angel hair pasta, but it would also be good with mashed potatoes. Next time we are going to try a combination of half chicken and half andouille sausage. I can’t wait!

Made for dinner and it’s a 10 both my picky eaters loved it, my only problem was my sauce didn’t get thick at all I thought I followed directions but I screwed up somehow, I used heavy whipping cream, then I added some cornstarch when it didn’t get thick! What did I do wrong ? How
Did you do yours and it turn out right?
nothing except that you didn’t let it bubble long enough. try again! some HWC sauce recipes ( like barefoot contessa’s gorgonzola sauce take up to 45 mins to thicken. Keep low boiling!
I’m wondering if some fresh grated parmesan would thicken it up also. I made once before and it was very good. Making for second time tonight. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
Could you do this even faster with shrimp?
sure
I have made this many times and loved it. However, I would really like to make it for a very large group (15 – 20 people). Can this be made ahead and heated in the oven in a baking dish. Or, how would you suggest going about this?
I’ve never tried making this in advance. I find the sauce is best served immediately.
I just made this for dinner and wow! So delicious! Everyone, even the 2 year old, devoured their food and wanted seconds. We had this over angel hair pasta as suggested and it was perfect with the sauce. I didn’t have chicken tenders on hand so I butterflied some large breasts and cut them into tender shaped strips and it worked great. I will definitely be making this again very soon!
So good, so easy! I used 1/2 and 1/2 because that’s what I had, my whole family loved it!!
100% “as is” delish. I do mix it up sometimes for a littke something different by adding spinach, lemon and parmesan to the already delightful sauce. No measurements. I just let the cooking gods speak to me 🤣 It’s one of the sure fire ways I can get my kids to eat spinach!

My husband lost most of his taste of smell and taste several years ago. He actually tasted–and really enjoyed–this recipe, and went back for seconds, leaving only a taste for our son, who concurred this is a 5-star winner! I can appreciate why you’d make it three times in a week!
My kids love this so much! Just asked them what they wanted for dinner and they said “the chicken we love” and this is it.
I made this for supper last night. My husband really liked it. I sliced up chicken breasts and it turned out well. My husband liked the seasonings. I will make it again
This was sooo easy and even more delicious. I could just eat the sauce and be happy. Next time I make it I wanna try some carmelized onions.
It is very good. I made it for our Anniversary dinner. I only had half cream so I made a small slurry to thicken. At the end I grated some sharp cheddar over it and put the lid on just long enough to melt. Served with a tossed green salad and stuffed mushrooms. Very good recipe, thank you!
So so so good!! I must say I was skeptical because of how “ easy” this recipe was but it didn’t disappoint! Instead of cooking the tenders whole , I cut them into chuck’s for better serving… definitely will be adding this to my regular dinner options!
Absolutely delicious. I plan on serving this to my Son for dinner tonight. I have made this many times and enjoy it even more each time.
Came across this recipe and just had to make it. I follow Weight Watchers and made it before I checked the Point. This is so delish!!!!!! I used Almond Unsweeten Milk and about 1 tablespoon of cornstarch so that I could thicken it. Not as good as using the heavy cream but still delish! I recommend to anyone who is interested in making this ~ DO SO!!!!!!
SO glad you enjoyed it!
It was delish! Decided to play with it. Same seasonings & cooking of the chicken. But tried Alfredo sauce plus chopped fresh broccoli & fresh sliced mushrooms & sliced black olives. Took no longer. It was also delicious on pasta. Will do it both ways.
I fix this for my husband and son we like it a lot. I think the next time I’m going to use green and red peppers and garlic bread
Sounds delicious!
U can dress with a small amount or oregano n parsley…delicious
Oregano would be delicious!
there is just the two of us, can I just cut the recipe in half?
sure
My family loves this, especially my husband. Sometime just to make things different, I will use porkchops instead of chicken.
YUM!
Have madethis several times! It’s part of our regular rotation. The seasonings make this every day chicken taste unique. My hubs isn’t even a fan of chicken but he loves it. We serve it over mashed potatoes.
