What does CRACK mean?
If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.
According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!
How to Make Crack Chicken Biscuit Cups
This dish is super easy to make with only five simple ingredients. In a large bowl, stir together shredded chicken, ranch dressing, shredded cheddar cheese, and cooked chopped bacon.
Open a can of refrigerated biscuits. Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits; place each biscuit in a regular-size muffin tin that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Using a rolling pin, roll each biscuit into a large circle. Firmly press dough in the bottom and up the side of each muffin cup.
Spoon the chicken mixture into the biscuit cups. Top each biscuit with grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven until the biscuits are golden brown. Sprinkle with dried parsley.

Can you make these in a mini muffin pan? I’m thinking of making them for church but want to make the in a mini muffin pan . What do you think?
sure – I would split the biscuits into two or three layers otherwise the biscuits will be too thick.
These were very good (and addicting) and would be great made smaller as appetizers. I used rotisserie chicken and bottled ranch dressing (homemade dressing I would be able to lower the salt). How many muffins would be considered a serving if made for the main course?
Can you use puff pastry or croissant crissant biscuits?
