Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 (10.8-oz) bag soft caramels, unwrapped
- 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (10-oz) bag mini marshmallows
- 2 tsp flaky sea salt
- 10 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions:
- Grease a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray or softened butter. Line with parchment paper leaving a few inches of overhang.
- Melt butter over medium heat in a large pot or Dutch oven. Add caramels and cook until melted.
- Add sweetened condensed milk and sea salt. Stir until combined.
- Add marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- Carefully stir in rice krispie cereal. Stir well to combine.
- Transfer the cereal mixture to the prepared pan and press down gently with parchment paper. Be careful not to overpack the cereal. Sprinkle the top of the treats with additional flaky sea salt, if desired.
- Refrigerate treats for 1 to 2 hours, until cool and set. Cut into squares and serve.
