Are you ready for the weekend? Boy, I sure am!! Bring on ALL the football and bring on these Sweet and Spicy Boneless Wings! O-M-YUM! These boneless wings were inspired by our favorite wings from Amelia Island. The hotel sports bar served wings with this type of sauce, and we just LOVED them! I finally got around to recreating them at home, and they are spot on!
How to Make Boneless Wings with Frozen Chicken
These boneless wings are super simple to make. Start with baking some frozen popcorn chicken. While the chicken is cooking make the sauce. The sauce is a combination of brown sugar and hot sauce. Once the chicken is cooked, toss it in the sauce and enjoy!
- I used Frank’s hot sauce. You can use any brand that you prefer.
- Are the wings really spicy? These wings aren’t very spicy. There is just a hint of heat. If you want hotter boneless wings, just increase the amount of hot sauce in the sauce mixture.
- I used Tyson Anytizers Frozen Popcorn Chicken for these boneless wings. You can certainly make your own fried chicken or buy chicken nuggets from your favorite restaurant or grocery store.
- You can use the sauce on any cut of chicken you prefer. This would be delicious on regular bone-in wings. I used frozen chicken nuggets because they are easier and less messy to eat at a football party.
- Can I make boneless wings in the air fryer? Sure! You can cook the frozen chicken in the oven or air fryer. To cook Tyson Anytizers Popcorn Chicken in the air fryer, heat the air fryer to 375ºF and cook for 8 minutes.

Hi! Did you use franks’s Buffalo sauce or hot sauce? Thanks!
Either is fine
1 and a 1/2 cup Brown Sugar sounds like a lot! Is that correct?
Make it however you want
Could the brown sugar be omitted to make them all spicy with no sweet, and still be ok?
Okay, I wish you could have seen my mouth drop open when I was looking at these pics! These look crazy delicious! I love that these are boneless — I hope the wing purists don't come for me, but boneless wings are the best in my book. And using frozen chicken is right up my alley. Thanks, Steph!
Look great….which hot sauce and Nuggets? Brand makes a difference in flavor.
I used Tyson chicken and Frank's Hot Sauce.
Thanks! Give them a try this weekend!
