This is perfect for game day, parties, or nacho night! Just spoon the dip over chips and enjoy! You can even use the dip as a filling for quick bean burritos or as a side dish at taco night!
How to Make Two Bean Taco Dip
This Mexican dip is super easy to make. In a large bowl combine softened cream cheese, salsa, sour cream, cumin, garlic powder, and cheese. Stir in refried beans and black beans. Spread the dip in a baking dish and top with more cheese. Pop the dip in the oven and bake.
- Feel free to add cooked ground beef, chorizo, or chopped chicken to the dip mixture.
- You can make the dip ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- I used a Mexican cheese blend for the cheese in this recipe.
- My favorite store-bought salsas are Maeto’s, Kylito’s, and Trader Joe’s.
- Can Two Bean Taco Dip be made in the slow cooker? Yes! You can make this dip in the crockpot. Make the dip and spread it in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW or HIGH until warm.
- Is Bean Dip gluten-free? Yes! All of the ingredients in this dip are gluten-free. Make sure to look for gluten-free refried beans such as Rosarita.

Two Bean Taco Dip
Ingredients:
- 2 (16-oz) cans refried beans
- 2 (15-oz) cans black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ⅓ cup salsa
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Combine cream cheese, salsa, sour cream, 1½ cups cheese, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Fold in beans.
- Spread dip into the prepared baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly around the edges.
