  1. Made this and it was delicious. I had only three ears of fresh corn so I mixed in a little frozen. It worked great. I’m interested in adding a little cream cheese in as well. Great recipe.

  2. I have never made homemade cream corn but my aunt’s and my grandmother always did every Sunday. This recipe is so delicious.Reminds me of them.Thank You.

  3. Could this be cooked in the oven for a large group? If so, at what temperature and how long would you recommend?

  4. i love everything corn and this didn't disappoint. was creamy and delicious like creamed corn. thank you for the great recipe!

  5. My mother made this often when I was growing up.I don't know how many times I watched her. And I loved it. But after moving out on my own I kind of forgot about it and never made it myself. She passed 19 years ago and many times I wished I had payed more attention watching her when she cooked not only this but other favorite dishes. I am thrilled I have finally found this recipe. Thank-you, thank-you' thank-you.

  6. I have made it two times and the second time I doubled the recipe!!! It is delicious – everyone loved it!!

  7. This recipe was fantastic. I also know its a hit when my husband says I can keep that recipe. I did make one change and that was to add a little bit of cream cheese as another poster suggested. Wonderful before and after that addition! Thanks for the recipe.

  8. Have you ever thought of adding 2-3 tablespoons (or more) of cream cheese to the sauce? There is a local restaurant in Orlando called The Coop and their creamed corn is much like yours but it has a little bit of cream cheese in the sauce. I have tried to make it but it didn't turn out too well. I think your recipe with the cream cheese added might just be The one! I think I will try it.

    1. Love this recipe! Will throw in diced red bell pepper with the corn as well as a handful of chopped herbs when about done.

  9. This is kind of close to the Homemade Creamed Corn I make, but mine uses only fresh sweet corn, cut off the cob, and the cob scraped, whole milk and butter. Sometimes I would add bacon grease and a couple of strips of bacon, crumbled up. This is something my Mom used to make when I was just a kid because my family could have lived off of fresh corn during the summer, we all loved it so much. For my family, my Mom would use about three dozen ears of corn, and even that much didn't last long.

  10. Would this work with Almond Milk? I know some things don't, but it's all I have on hand right now…

  11. My New Years resolution is to learn to cook. This is going into my recipe book to try- do you know how many servings you'd say it makes?

  12. I have GOT to try this, thank you so much. I'm a corn lover. Corn pudding, corn muffins (using whole kernels) corn fritters, off the cob, plain old hot buttered, corn corn corn. I always keep bags of frozen corn around because I even toss a handful or two into canned soup, haha.
