Mozzarella Cheese Ball

My Mom made a new cheese ball for Christmas this year.  It might be my favorite cheese ball ever!  She made it with Ranch dressing mix and mozzarella cheese.  I don't think I've ever had a cheese ball with mozzarella cheese in it.  It was SO good.  I had a hard time controlling myself around this!  I could have easily eaten the whole thing by myself (I'm not even joking!).  This cheese ball will be making an appearance for New Years!

Mozzarella Cheese Ball
(Printable Recipe)

8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1/2 package (4 1/2 tsp) dry ranch dressing mix
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
finely chopped pecans

Combine first 4 ingredients in a bowl.  Mix well.  Form mixture into a ball and roll in chopped pecans.  Refrigerate before serving with crackers.

Woah...I can see how you could have eaten the whole thing yourself. I'm gonna have to test this out!

Snack perfection!

Could you leave out the mayo or should it be exchanged for something else?

Elizabeth - you could try a couple of tablespoons of milk or substitute Greek yogurt for the mayo.

This sounds scrumptious! I love cheese balls and my kids make fun of them. That's ok though...more for me. :)

This looks amazing and so simple! I definitely am going to make this for when we have friends over !

Made this for an office party today and the only thing I will change next time is to add more of the ranch seasoning mix. Needed more flavor, we thought. Will try it next time with the enitre package of mix. If that's too much, will keep trying until I get a happy medium!

Try it with Ranch DIP mix instead of dressing, it's more flavorful and i's finer and mixes much better!
