The pizza bakes for about 10 minutes and then it is ready to eat. This is a great recipe to get the kids involved in making lunch or dinner. The pizzas are so easy to customize; everyone can add their own toppings. We liked this as much as any other homemade pizza we have tried. It will definitely be in the rotation. It is my favorite kind of meal - quick and easy!

(Printable Recipe)
- 1 Large Tortilla
- 3 Tbsp pizza sauce
- 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese
- toppings of your choice - pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, peppers
Preheat your oven to 425F. (I preheat my pizza stone in the oven.)
Spread pizza sauce on the tortilla - spread to the edge of the tortilla. Top with cheese and toppings. Place on cookie sheet or preheated pizza stone. Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

We've used them for crust before and it's so easy for me since I don't do dough.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to try this recipe. I have used a lot of your recipes and we have loved them all.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, this might be more like a brick oven pizza which are wonderful! Will be trying this soon.
ReplyDeleteMmmm...looks yummy...we often make "personal Pizzas" on Naan bread...so good, the kids love to make their own.
ReplyDeleteI've been making quick pizza's using tortilla's like this fro quit awhile. I try to always have the ingredients on hand. I suggest using a pizza stone. I put the tortilla on the stone for a minute or two while getting the ingredients ready, then use that side that got a little crispy to place the ingredients on....super crunchy then.I also found a great low fat/calorie tortilla that tastes wonderful...LaBanderita!! Awesome...
ReplyDeleteI have used this same idea of using tortillas to make 'calzones' Stuff with your favorites, fold over and grill in a skillet just like you would a grilled cheese. Serve Pizza sauce with them on the side. So easy, so quick and so yummy~~~~
ReplyDeleteI made it, I loved it, I ate the whole thing all by myself..
ReplyDeletewooohoooooo this is great cause I love cracker crust and the rest here like that thick doughy stuff. Now I can make my own.. thanks so much
WINNER!!! DINGDINGDING!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is great and easy to do on a week night. My husband and kids loved it and I liked that I didn't have to get pizza dough and try to roll it out and stuff. Plus I LOVE thin pizza and the crunch was great!
Thanks and WAR EAGLE!
this is something that my mom always made for us at the beach--and is something that is in my rotation all the time! my favorite toppings are ground beef, artichoke hearts, and pepperoni.
ReplyDeleteWe've done some of these style on the grill, great because they are quick and easy.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I saw this on Pinterest, and it was a real lightbulb/duh moment for me. I've made it twice now, once with traditional pizza type toppings, and once with refried beans and leftover taco meat for a "mexican style" cracker pizza. Loved both, and both will probably become staples in our dinner rotation. Quick, simple, yummy; what's not to love? Also posted about them on my blog, with a link back to here. Hope that's okay.
ReplyDeleteThe kids make these all the time for years. We started making them in a frying pan, crispy crust. Then the kids would make them after school in the microwave. In recent years we make them in the winter on the woodstove or when we have power outages, etc. It is a family favorite. They have been done during sleepovers by the kids too.
ReplyDeleteThese were delicious! A huge hit with the kids. I definitely recommend hearing the tortillas on the stone for a few minutes before making the pizzas and cooking them
ReplyDeleteThese are great! We make them every Sunday during half time of the football game.
ReplyDeleteIn the summer you can stick them on the grill. Just keep watch and turn them every few minutes so they don't burn. Super easy and no clean up
