Buffalo chicken tater tots are the ultimate game day or party snack, designed to tantalize your taste buds with a bold and spicy twist. These bite-sized delights start with crispy tater tots that are baked to perfection, creating a sturdy base for the culinary magic that follows. As the tater tots crisp up, you prepare the star of the show: popcorn chicken drenched in the fiery embrace of Frank’s RedHot buffalo sauce. The heat and tang of the sauce are balanced by the creamy richness of shredded cheddar cheese. Whether you’re serving them for a big game or a casual gathering, Buffalo chicken tater tots are a crowd-pleasing sensation that will have everyone reaching for more.
How to Make Buffalo Chicken Tater Tot Cups
This recipe is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place two frozen tater tots in each muffin cup. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes.
While the tater tots are cooking, microwave or air fry the popcorn chicken according to the package directions. Toss cooked chicken and buffalo sauce in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
Remove tater tots from the oven. Using a tart tamper tool, press potatoes into the muffin cups. Place chicken into the potato cups. Top with shredded cheese. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the tater tots are a deep golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with parsley or green onions.
