What does CRACK mean?
If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.
According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!
How to Make Crack Cruffins
These savory cruffins are easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Unroll three cans of crescent roll sheets. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. Spread ranch dressing over each sheet of dough. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and chopped bacon over each dough sheet.
Starting on the long end of the rectangle, tightly roll up into a log. Using a sharp knife, cut the log in half, making two 8-inch logs. Slice the shorter logs lengthwise to make 4 sections of dough. Repeat with the remaining dough sheets. You will have 12 equal strips of dough
Take one piece of dough with the layered side facing out and roll it tightly into a roll. Place the roll into a muffin pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Repeat with the remaining 11 sections of dough.
Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Remove from the oven and immediately brush each muffin with butter and sprinkle with parsley. Cool on a wire cooling rack.

Do you use real bacon you cooked or the package bacon pieces?
I only use real bacon in all of my recieps – either freshly cooked or precooked slices that I chop. You can also buy bags of precooked bacon crumbles from Costco and Sam’s Club.
