Stop what you are doing and make a batch of these cruffins! OMG! These pastries are dangerously delicious! What is a cruffin? It is a cross between a croissant and a muffin. This easy recipe substitutes crescent rolls for croissant dough. They are honestly too easy to make! I have lost count of how many times I’ve made this recipe over the past few weeks. Give them a try for breakfast ASAP!
How to Make Cruffins with Crescent Roll Dough
These rolls are super easy to make with only 4 simple ingredients. In a small bowl, combine white sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Unroll three cans of crescent roll sheets. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over each sheet of dough. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over each buttered dough sheet.
Starting on the long end of the rectangle, tightly roll up into a long. Using a sharp knife, cut the log in half, making two 8-inch logs. Slice the short logs lengthwise to make 4 sections of dough. Repeat with the remaining dough sheets. You will have 12 equal strips of dough
Take one piece of dough with the layered side facing out and roll it tightly into a roll. Place the roll into a muffin pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Repeat with the remaining 11 sections of dough.
Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Remove from the oven and immediately roll each muffin in the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture. Cool on a wire cooling rack.

This brings back memories! About 20 years ago we made these with our Girl Scout troops for a beginning cookie badge.
This sounds AMAZING!! I have followed you for a few years and I love your recipes.
My question is, if I use cream cheese in the middle, I omit the butter, correct?
Thanks again
That would be up to you. I would keep it, but you can adjust the recipe however you wish.
