We are in love with this “Cracked Out” Broccoli Salad!! We can’t get enough of it. Cheddar, bacon, Ranch and Broccoli – I mean, how could we not love this quick side dish?!!?!! Even broccoli hates love this salad.
What does Cracked Out mean? When a recipe is cracked out has the combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch in it. The phrase comes from our famous Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a tailgate and we couldn’t stop eating it. Someone said “This stuff is like crack.” and the name stuck.
How to Make Broccoli Salad with Ranch
This side dish is super easy to make. Simply toss together chopped broccoli, cheddar, cheese, bacon, and ranch dressing. Pop the salad in the refrigerator and serve.
- I used a package of pre-chopped broccoli florets in this recipe.
- I used precooked bacon in this dish. It is such a time saver!
- You can substitute turkey bacon for the pork bacon,
- You can use any flavor of Ranch dressing. I like to use the spicy ranch sometimes.

This is a wonderfully delicious salad, and so quick and easy to put together. I used light ranch dressing, reduced-fat shredded sharp cheddar, and center-cut bacon to reduce the calories, and I had amazing results. LOVE this salad!
no cooking necessary
How much is 1 serving?
Sorry for my English. Do you cook the broccoli or is the broccoli in your package cooked? Greetings from Hamburg.
The broccoli is not cooked. Use it raw.
This looks so easy, and when you love all the ingredients…well it's just gotta be good! Perfect for this weekend
