How to Make Million Dollar Chicken Noodle Bake

This casserole recipe is very easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Start with cooking egg noodles in a large pot according to the package directions. Drain and set aside. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, cheddar cheese, and cooked chopped chicken. Stir in the cooked noodles. Pour the chicken mixture into a baking dish lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle the top of the casserole with french fried onions. Bake in the oven until bubbly. Garnish with parsley and enjoy.

  • I used a rotisserie chicken for the cooked chicken in this recipe. You can use any cooked chicken that you have on hand. Chicken breasts, chicken thighs, and chicken tenderloins all work great.
  • Feel free to add some vegetables to the casserole. Frozen peas, broccoli, spinach, frozen veggies, mushrooms are all great!
  • Feel free to substitute panko bread crumbs or crushed ritz crackers and melted butter for the french fried onion on top of the casserole.
  • You can use any cream of soup that you have on hand. Cream of chicken, cream of mushroom soup and cream of celery soup all work fine.

  1. I followed the recipe, the only thing I added was cheese on the top with the fried onions and this was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be making it again! Thanks (:

    1. Wow…this casserole was excellent! I used panko bread crumbs in addition to the french fried onions. And I also used mozzarella instead of cheddar since I had it on hand; it was outstanding!

  2. This sounds great, I do not care for cottage cheese and has a lot of salt for my husband, can you substitute for ricotta? If you do not recommend I will try the cottage cheese because the whole thing sounds so good. I love me some casseroles😋. Love your recipes!!!!
