Smoked Sausage Cajun Alfredo
Smoked Sausage Cajun Alfredo - Only 5 ingredients - smoked sausage, pasta, cajun seasoning, heavy cream and parmesan - ready in under 15 minutes! No prep! Very similar to our all-time favorite Chicken Lazone, but with smoked sausage. OMG! AMAZING! Make this tonight! We ate it two nights in a row - it was that good!
There are only 5 ingredients in this dish, and it only took about 15 minutes from start to finish. To cut down on the calories, I used turkey smoked sausage. It tasted great and we couldn't tell any difference from regular smoked sausage. If you are worried about this being spicy, you can certainly reduce the amount of cajun seasoning.

This was dinner tonight and was incredible. Thanks for another amazing recipe!
ReplyDeleteSO glad you enjoyed it, Michelle!!
DeleteJust served this for lunch. Husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed this and decided it was a keeper recipe. The color of mine wasn't as appealing as yours, but that did not deter the meal at all. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have a jar of Alfredo sauce. Could I substitute that for the heavy cream and parm?
ReplyDeleteLori, did you try that? I was thinking the same thing!
DeleteJan - I did and it worked great! Love this recipe!

ReplyDeleteInspired me... But I made a chicken & sausage Cajun Alfredo with pepper strips, onions, and mushrooms. Thanks for the dinner idea!
ReplyDeleteAwesome recipe! I added in some diced tomatoes and spinach for some extra veggies, and it tasted amazing! Not too spicy, but just enough kick. Thanks for my new go-to pasta recipe!
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo good! Have made several times!! Question...would this also work if I just used chicken instead?

ReplyDeleteI made this for dinner the other night and it was awesome! I used andouille sausage and penne pasta. Not only was it fantastic when I made it, the left overs were even better :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of pasta is this ? Sounds awesome , but wondered what pasta you used . A must try .
ReplyDeleteYou can use your favorite shape - penne, elbow, bowtie, campanelle, fusilli, gemelli.
DeleteIs it possible to use milk instead of heavy cream?
ReplyDeletei used roger wood lumber jack spicy smoked sausage and added a lot of cayenne pepper powder, some additional paprika, and a little bit of tony chacheres (i don't think this one made a difference), because i wanted a spicy version of this, and it was great. i also used some more parmesan cheese, because i love parmesan cheese.
