Overnight Everything Bagel Breakfast Casserole

Everything Bagel Seasoning is all the rage. I discovered it last year when Trader Joe's released their jar of Everything But The Bagel Seasoning blend. It is a very simple seasoning combination of poppy seeds, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, garlic, onion, and sea salt flakes. It goes great with just about everything, especially bagels! Bagels are great for breakfast, so I decided to whip up an Everything Bagel Breakfast Casserole. YUM!

How to Make Everything Bagel Breakfast Casserole

This Overnight Everything Bagel Sausage & Cream Cheese Breakfast Casserole is very simple to make. You just need to plan ahead so the casserole can sit in the refrigerator overnight. You are going to start with a package of Everything Bagels. I got them at the grocery store. They are with all the other bagels. Chop the bagels and add to the casserole dish.

Next, cook the sausage until it is no longer pink. Drain the fat. Add some cream cheese to the sausage. I mean, you can't have bagels without cream cheese! Right?!?!? Sprinkle the sausage and cream cheese mixture over the bagels.

Finally, whisk up the eggs, heavy cream, and sour cream. Pour over bagels and then top with shredded cheese. Cover and pop in the fridge overnight.

Can I Make Everything Bagel Breakfast Casserole in Advance?

Yes! You need to make the casserole at least 8 hours in advance, but you can make it up to 24 hours in advance and it will be just fine.

Can I Freeze Everything Bagel Breakfast Casserole?

Sure! Assemble the casserole as directed and instead of refrigerating, pop it in the freezer. To bake the casserole after freezing, thaw completely and then bake as directed below. You can also freeze the baked casserole. To reheat the baked casserole, thaw completely and bake covered at 350ºF until warmed through.

    1. I think it would work. I haven't made this in the slow cooker, so I can't give you exact cooking times. I would guess 6 to 8 hours on LOW. ????

    1. Here is a good online calculator: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/recipe/calculator
I suspect there are lots of carbs in this recipe since it has 5 bagels in it.
