This Ham & Cheese Braid is a favorite at our house. It is super easy to make with only 4 ingredients and tastes great! It is like a hot ham and cheese sandwich – only better! This is a great recipe to make if you have any leftover holiday ham in the house.
How to Make Ham & Cheese Braid
To make this braid, start with a can of crescent rolls. Roll them out and press all the seams together. You can also use a can of the crescent sheets if you can find them. Once you have the crescent rolls spread out, cut 10 slits on each side of the rectangle – leave the middle of the dough uncut. Combine the chopped ham, cheese, and honey mustard dressing. Spread it down the middle of the crescent roll dough. Pull the dough strips over the ham mixture and bake.
If you have any leftover filling, just spread it onto the top of the braid during the last few minutes of baking. It will make it look pretty and you get more ham and cheese to eat.

Ham & Cheese Braid
Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls or crescent sheet
- 1½ cup cooked chopped ham
- â…” cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup honey mustard dressing
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 ºF.
- Roll out crescent rolls vertically on baking sheet, do not separate and seal perforations.
- Mix ham, cheese and mustard. Spread ham down center of crescent rolls.
- Cut 10 strips on each side of the dough. To braid, lift strips of dough across mixture to meet in center, twisting each strip on turn. Continue alternating strips to form a braid.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes – until lightly browned.

We don't care for honey mustard either…so we used pesto on the first one and Dijon mustard on the second one.

Ranch sounds awesome! I saw someone use cream cheese too but I think I'll use fat free ranch to try to keep it semi healthy ish 😉 haha
This was a winner at our house. I need to tweak my oven a bit to get the bottom to crisp up, but we'll definitely have this again!
i just kept the honey mustard out and made it without it and then used the ranch to dip into it…my kids like to dip. lol turned out awesome!!!
So how did the ranch version turn out? My son doesn't like honey mustard so I need an alternate. This looks so good – I HAVE to make it!
