How to Make Crescent Roll Hot Dogs
These hot dogs are effortless to make with only two simple ingredients. Open a can of crescent roll dough and cut into four rectangles. Seal perforations if using crescent rolls. Place a hotdog in the center of each rectangle and fold the dough over the hotdog. Cut the hotdog into eight slices – leaving the extra dough on the edge uncut. Place the cut hot dogs on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Twist the first cut portion to the left and the second to the right; repeat this for the rest of the cut sections. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Top with your favorite hot dog toppings: ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, coleslaw, or chili.

Twisted Crescent Roll Hot Dogs
Ingredients:
- 2 (8-oz) tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough sheets
- 8 hot dogs or turkey dogs
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut each can of crescent roll dough into 4 rectangles. Place one hotdog in the center of each rectangle and fold the dough over the hotdog. You want a small amount of extra dough that is not touching the dog at the seam – this will make it easier to twist. Pinch edges to seal.
- Cut the hot dog into 8 slices – leaving the overhang dough uncut. Place the cut hot dogs onto a baking sheet. Twist first cut portion to the left, and second to the right, repeat this for the rest of the portions.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

This is a great recipe–and so different because of the twisting!
Crescent dogs in any form are always good–however, I’ve found myself substituting Puff Pastry for the Crescent Rolls most of the time–hubby and I much prefer the dogs that way. I think Puff Pastry will work equally well in this recipe.
Puff pastry sounds delicious. I’ll have to try it next time.
Those are pretty cool looking. Need spicy mustard and hold the ketchup.

I saw this very cute idea on Photograzing and glad I did. I like your blog. War Eagle!
You are one twisted woman!
Those look great, but I have to admit, Mr. Legs lost points in my book for the first time ever, for not liking hot dogs. Have you checked him for a zipper? He might be an alien or something wearing a human suit;)
Tell chicken legs we said congratulations on the new job … we'll eat a hot dog in his honor!
These look so cute! My hubby doesn't like hot dogs either (not even a Chicago Dog…helloooo!). I'll have to give this version a try!
very cool – those look great. i wash thinking of making mini hot dogs at some point as well.
Heh, nice. Makes a hot dog look almost fancy! I love hot dogs myself, they're a good time.
Very clever and appealing – I'd eat one for sure.
These look fabulous! Great job. Chicken Legs doesn't like hotdogs???? geez. 🙂 I have a hot dog about every six months. Love em.
