How to Make Hot Honey Chicken

This dish is easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag. Whisk together buttermilk, hot sauce, honey, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Pour the buttermilk mixture over the chicken. Seal the bag and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator.

Combine crushed cornflakes, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl or plate. Remove the chicken pieces from the marinade and drain the excess. Dredge the chicken in the panko mixture on both sides.

Place a wire rack on top of a baking tray. Place coated chicken on the wire rack. Lightly spray with cooking spray. Bake in a preheated oven until the juices run clear and reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF on an instant-read thermometer.

While the chicken is baking, prepare the hot honey sauce. Combine honey, hot sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small saucepan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove the pan from the heat.

Drizzle honey sauce over the baked chicken and garnish with parsley.

  1. I don’t usually bother with feedback or comments on recipe sites, but I had to let you know I made this chicken tonight it was FANTASTIC. I used skinless boneless thighs because I had a pound of those on hand. The chicken so out so tender and incredibly tasty. I’ll definitely try this again.
