How to Make Thai Chili & Cranberry Meatballs
These meatballs are SUPER easy to make. Simply combine meatballs, Thai chili sauce, and cranberry sauce. Heat until the meatballs are warm and enjoy. You can make these in the slow cooker or on the stove. I’ve made them both ways and they are great either way. For parties, I usually make the meatballs in the slow cooker. I like to let guests serve themselves straight from the slow cooker.
- I use frozen 1/2-ounce meatballs. There is no need to thaw the meatballs before cooking. I actually like the flavor of Walmart’s Great Value frozen meatballs.
- I used Thai Kitchen Red Chili Dipping Sauce in this recipe.
- For the cranberry sauce, I used a can of Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce. The same stuff you buy at Thanksgiving.

I always have the ingredients on hand so I can whip these yummy meatballs anytime we get the craving! As I said, these are great as an appetizer or a main dish over rice or noodles. Cheap, easy, delicious!
Are they chicken meatballs?
I used beef meatballs
What kind of meatballs did you use?
Just whatever brand is on sale at the grocery store. I like the smaller 1/2 ounce size. I never use the larger 1-ounce size meatballs.
I also used Maggi Sweet Chili Sauce.
Both variations were a big hit. Can't call a winner here. It was a draw. I used cumin instead of curry and that was a good move. Two of the three couples left with the recipe.
Both of these will be saved and used over and over. Thanks, Steph.
I plan on adding a tbl of curry pwr and lemon juice to half of this recipe. I will let you know how they are received if you are interested.
Absolutely! Sounds delicious!!
Is that sweet or regular Thai chili sauce? I have both and would love to make these on Sunday
Either is fine. I used sweet because that is what I could find.
