Chicken Parmesan Bubble Up - seriously delicious!! Only 5 ingredients - Chicken, spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese tossed with cut up refrigerated biscuits! YUM! Ready in 30 minutes! Great weeknight meal!
Bubble Up dishes are one of my favorite weeknight meals. I love brainstorming and coming up with new ways to make them. This Chicken Parmesan Bubble Up might be one of my favorites. It has all the flavors of chicken parmesan without all the frying!
I used frozen popcorn chicken for this dish. I didn't cook the chicken first. I just let it cook while the rest of the dish baked. It turned out great! It tasted delicious and it was even good reheated for lunch. Serve this with a side salad for a quick and tasty weeknight meal!

I can't wait to fix this for dinner this week! You create and share the best recipes!!
ReplyDeleteWar Eagle from Auburn!!
I have seen so many variations on "Bubble" recipes, I'm wondering, does the biscuit stay doughy and feel slimy or does it cook all the way through, throughout the dish? It looks and sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a problem with them not baking all the way through
DeleteSounds like a great quick meal! I'd actually serve a batch of this on game day.
ReplyDeleteWhat brand of popcorn chicken did you use?
ReplyDeleteI used Tyson
DeleteIs popcorn chicken breaded or could I just subsitute chicken breasts cut into pieces?
ReplyDeletePopcorn shrimp is breaded.
DeleteMmmm, me likey!! I'm betting my kids will love this too!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was delicious! I have a very picky husband, 4 year old and 3 year old twins. Was a hit with all of us, which is nothing short of a miracle!

ReplyDeleteYour BBQ Chicken Bubble Up is one of my new favorite recipes so I can't wait to try this one. I have to say, I still dream about the Buffalo Chicken Potato Casserole. Oh my word, that is delicious!
ReplyDeleteI made it tonight but the dough came out raw, what do you think happened?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you didn't bake it long enough. Did you use Grands or grands jr biscuits. Grands are bigger, so it will take longer to cook.
DeleteWe love this one.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to make this but we lost power for 3+ days. By the time power was back on. I lost my chicken.
ReplyDeleteSo decided I'd just make it without the chicken. It was still good.
Now for the next try (today) First when I went to the store I got what I needed (so I thought) I had both the Lasagna and chicken bubble up in my memory. I got the sausage crumbles AND chicken. So today, as I was putting it all together....ding ding ding I realized I had mixed up my brain. So, this is what I did.
I used ricotta. red pepper and used the chicken because it was already thawed.
I DIDN'T use the sausage and forgot about the cheese
It was very good.
Now a NOTE for the chicken.........I just saw Steph used 16 oz popcorn chicken (not in my memory) I was looking for nuggets. MY nuggets were supposed to be Tyson's but when I read the bag they were formed, I decided to find regular nuggets, So, I found Purdu to use...ALSO I thought it was 28 oz, so they were really too much.
LOL, I know next time I'll take a list with me.
The lesson is: Do what Steph does.
I did just have brain surgery last September and I'm going to use that excuse for as long as I can.
.
Delish! We used Tyson Simply Smart Lightly Breaded Chicken Strips. We loved it! It tasted just like chicken parmesan! I love that you just mix it all together and bake!
ReplyDeleteI Am Trying This Tonight. I Hope It Turns Out As Well Add Everyone Has Said!
ReplyDeleteHow Many Points Plus is This PeR Serving?
ReplyDeleteThe recipe above does not tell you when to add the parmesan cheese. Do you add the cheese before or after you cook the dish?
ReplyDeleteI added it before I baked it
DeleteMade this last night and thought it was great. Love your recipes.
ReplyDeletedo i layer it in the dish or just pour it all in? Making this tonight!!
ReplyDeleteI just pour it all in the pan at once
DeleteI've made this like 3 times now. SO good! I have pics of it on my page, too. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCan this be assembled the day before and then cooked?
