Helpful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions

  • Please note that a pork loin and pork tenderloin are NOT the same cut of meat. Tenderloins are thin and small. Pork loins are wide enough to cut pork chops from them.
    • Pork tenderloin is a very tender and lean cut of meat, It is my favorite cut of pork.
  • When cooking pork tenderloin, it is important to remove the silver skin on the side of each pork tenderloin.

  • For a thicker gravy, omit the chicken broth or water.
    • If you want a thinner sauce, add more liquid after cooking.

What to Serve with Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin

This crock pot pork tenderloin recipe has quickly become a family favorite. I always have the ingredients on hand to whip this up at a moment’s notice. When it comes to what to serve this with, I have lots of great side dish ideas. First off, consider serving it alongside a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes or buttery rice to soak up all that rich and savory sauce. Those tasty cooking juices are the best part of the whole meal! To add some vibrant color and freshness, a side of sautéed green beans, carrots, or roasted asparagus would be a lovely addition. And speaking of balance, a crisp and refreshing garden salad with a zesty vinaigrette will provide a delightful contrast to the tender pork. For a heartier option, serve up some crusty garlic bread or warm dinner rolls to round out the meal.

  1. WOW was this good! I made a few changes. I seasoned the pork with pepper and garlic and seared it on both sides before putting it in the crock pot. I then deglazed that pan with some white wine and poured it over the pork. I only had 1.5-2 lbs pork loin (I only had loin, not tenderloin), so I only used one pack of onion soup mix. I cooked it on high for about 3 hours and topped it with crispy onions over rice! Amazing!
